Pachamamaq Waqarinin
The call of Mother Earth

Pachamamaq Waqarinin
The call of Mother Earth
In Quechua, there's a saying, "Pachamamaq Waqarinin," which means "The call of Mother Earth." This phrase embodies the idea of always returning to our roots.

The name ÁCARA is inspired by the Quechua word chakra (brazilian — chácara). It means "small plot of arable land farm", "land sown with seed", or "farm on common lands". These small and subsistence farms play an essential role in the food supply of communities in South America.

For Auky Gonzales, it meant reconnecting with his family's farmlands in Peru. While working on a large-scale soil restoration project, he realized the profound impact of climate change on agriculture.
